Virtual Curriculum Night

  • 1211 East Guadalupe Road Gilbert, AZ, 85234 United States (map)

More information coming from your student’s teacher.

See the message from Mr. Blackburn below that was emailed out Wednesday, August 18.

Panther families,

On August 27, you will be receiving a link to a presentation by the teachers in your child’s grade level. You will find a comprehensive overview of the topics covered throughout the school year.

A big reason for this change is the COVID pandemic. However, we have been exploring this option for some time. Many of our families have vocalized the curriculum night as a “hardship” to attend or have not seen the point of the event. Therefore, after much deliberation, we feel strongly that, in addition to providing a safe alternative and accessibility to ALL families, a virtual curriculum night will:

  • Allow more families to obtain the information.

  • Give a more comprehensive guide to what your children will be studying.

  • Engage families in conversations with their child on what they are excited about learning this year.

  • Teachers will have more time to answer specific questions from you. Teachers will be available to answer these via email and/or telephone.

  • Provide a resource to refer back to whenever questions or concerns arise.

*Copies of all materials covered will be available upon request

This is NOT an alternative we plan on exploring for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Due to the ability to schedule small group or individual conferences, it is far easier to limit the number of people on campus. Look for communication from your teachers on conferences taking place the week of September 20.

Sadly, we were expecting a more inclusive start to this year for you. As far as other on-campus activities for our families, I will be working with the staff and PTSO to resume ASAP. I am happy to report, many of our student activities: PRIDE DAYS, assemblies, field trips, etc. will continue. As always, we will focus on hygiene and cleanliness of facilities wherever and whenever students are on campus.

We appreciate your support and want nothing more than to have all of our families engaged and on campus. Please look for communication from us pertaining to other school-related activities on Friday!

Sincerely,
Lucas Blackburn
